Opportunity | Duty Description

~~Primary Purpose of the job:
The job incumbent will be responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the salary office so that employees receive their correct remuneration on time.

Key Performance Areas:

• Ensure accurate and timely payments to employees and others.
• Printing and sort-out pay-slips into pay points.
• Ensure that salary confidentiality is maintained
• Calculate and capture annual salary increases
• Assist with calculations of salary structure and allowance
• Reconcile Pensions, Medical Aid, Group Insurance, Spouse Group Insurance, Funeral Insurance and PAYE and complete the necessary forms that accompany payments before the seventh and 20th day of following month.
• Scrutinize accounting documents and transaction prior to posting to general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile advances monthly.
• Calculation of leave sold and tax payable, completion of documentation to pay via EFT
• Preparation of quarterly report of overtime schedules for Management and distribution thereof
• Correcting underpayments/overpayments in previous month.
• Assisting in calculation of HR and overtime budget
• Ensure that all reports contain accurate information when submitting
• Filing of all input  in the salary record files held for each employee.
• Ensure and maintain the confidentiality of salaries at all times.
• Ensure that garnishee orders to various magistrates, attorneys, and the Receiver of Revenue as laid down by Court orders are done.
• Ensure that P.A.Y.E certificates are printed and distributed on time




Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)

A National Diploma in Finance and Accounting OR Commerce (NQF level 6)
• At least five (5) years Payroll experience
• Familiarity with SAP or any similar ERP system

• Valid driver’s license (Code BE)
