2X EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
(FORKLIFT/BOOM LIFT) B4 – FTC

Division: Infrastructure and Technical Services
Department: Infrastructure
Location: Walvis Bay

Primary purpose of the position

To operate mobile equipment by moving, loading, unloading, and stacking dock/vessel materials and equipment within the Infrastructure and Technical Services Department at Namdock efficiently.

Critical Technical Competencies for this role

• Reading and understanding mobile equipment specifications
• Tool recognition and application to trade
• Recognition of relevant safety colours
• Safety Compliance
• Communication

Qualification and Experience Required:

• A Grade 12 Certificate plus A Basic Rigging Certificate at NQF level 3.
• A Forklift and or Crane Operating License.
• Two (2) years of experience in Forklift and/or Crane Driving/Operating.
• Candidate should be able to or will operate a forklift up to 10 ton and a Boom lift
• Operating cranes and vehicles will be added advantaged.
• A Valid Driver’s License Code B.
