VACANCY
Background:
The Corporate Communications and Marketing Division is responsible for facilitating effective communication and stakeholder engagement to promote integrity and transparency, enhance the Commission’s visibility and reputation, and build trust with stakeholders.
Primary Purpose:

Provide input to communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, and marketing programmes
-
Implement strategies supporting strategic objectives
-
Ensure brand relevance and support the institutional mandate
Key Performance Areas:
-
Develop/review and implement corporate communication strategies and policies
-
Engage and inform stakeholders through appropriate communication activities
-
Assist in producing and publishing annual and post-election reports
-
Participate in digital strategy and content management for social media and website
-
Identify stakeholder needs and propose engagement activities
-
Monitor media reports to address misinformation
-
Respond to complaints from stakeholders and the public
-
Write speeches, media releases, newsletters, and advertorials
-
Coordinate production and distribution of corporate materials
-
Conduct research and prepare reports and presentations
-
Organise and oversee corporate events
Educational Qualification and Experience Requirements:
-
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Public Relations/Media Studies/Journalism (NQF Level 7)
-
Public Relations or Communications accreditation is an advantage
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Corporate Communications or Journalism
-
Knowledge and experience of Graphic Design programmes and Digital Media Management
-
Valid driver’s license
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
-
Knowledge of integrated communication and marketing
-
Fluency in English (additional local languages an advantage)
-
Understanding of elections and democratic processes
-
Computer literate (Microsoft applications)
-
Knowledge of design programmes (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe XD)
-
Strong presentation, writing, and interviewing skills
-
Ability to work weekends and after hours
-
High level of confidentiality, conceptual thinking, and analytical skills
-
Attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams
-
Willingness to travel frequently
