OMDiS Town Transform Agency invites applications from a hands-on, commercially minded Agriculture Manager to lead vegetable production at the OMDiS Nursery in Oranjemund. This position offers a rare opportunity to shape and grow an emerging commercial nursery model, with meaningful influence over production systems, market direction, and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of vegetable and seedling production on a 2-ha site
- Development and implementation of disciplined production plans and growing protocols
- Commercialisation, market access, and maintaining consistent supply to buyers
- Training, supervision, and mentoring of nursery staff
- Record keeping, reporting, and maintaining safe work environments
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field
- At least 5 years’ practical experience in profitable vegetable production
- Strong technical understanding of planting, cultivation, and harvesting systems
- Demonstrated ability to plan production and access markets
- Valid driver’s licence and a valid (less than one year old) Police Certificate of Conduct
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
