Position Overview:
As the Electrical and instrumentation Superintendent at Andrada Mining, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our electrical and instrumentation systems. You will be responsible for managing a team of professionals, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of electrical and instrumentation technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment, including control systems, sensors, and electrical infrastructure.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all electrical and instrumentation work complies with safety regulations and environmental standards. Promote a culture of safety and adherence to best practices.
• Asset Management: Manage electrical and instrumentation assets, including inventory control, equipment inspections, and procurement of necessary components.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment and reduce unexpected failures,
• Budget Management: Monitor and manage budgets related to electrical and instrumentation maintenance and projects.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to electrical and instrumentation activities.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance v/ith relevant electrical and instrumentation regulations, codes, and standards.
• Training and Development: Facilitate training and development programs for the electrical and instrumentation team to enhance skills and knov/ledge.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance and management, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and PLCs.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to electrical and instrumentation work.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
