With a proven track record of success and a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our leadership team as Chief Operations Officer (COO).
Position Overview:
As the COO of Andrada Mining, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our mining activities. You will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing production, and fostering a culture of safety and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company’s operational strategy, aligning with overall business goals,
• Operational Excellence: Lead and manage mining operations to achieve production targets, cost-efficiency, and safety standards.
• Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and sustainable mining practices.
• Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets, to maximize productivity and profitability.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Foster positive relationships v/ith regulatory bodies, local communities, and indigenous groups while representing the company’s interests.
• Innovation and Technology: Drive innovation in mining processes and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
• Risk Management Identify and mitigate operational risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure business continuity.
• Talent Development: Build and lead a high-performing operations team, promoting professional growth and a culture of excellence.
• Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports to the CEO and the Board of Directors on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering. Geology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in the mining industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mining operations.
• In-depth knowledge of mining regulations, safety standards, and environmental best practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to sustainability and responsible mining practices.
