Andrada Mining (Pty) Ltd is currently in a brownfield exploration project phase doing infill drilling to update the Lithium and Tantalum Resources, within the pegmatite hosted tin deposits at Uis in the Erongo Region, The Head of Exploration plays a pivotal role in the early stages of mining projects, where the identification and evaluation of mineral deposits are crucial for the future success and profitability of mining operations. Their leadership and expertise are essential for making informed decisions and ensuring the responsible development of mineral resources. Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning
• Geological and Geophysical Analysis this include interpreting data to identify mineralisation, structure and potential resource volumes.
• Resource Assessment Estimate the quantity, quality, and economic viability of mineral resources in exploration areas. This involves developing resource models and assessing the feasibility of mining.
• Exploration Program Management: Manage all aspects of exploration programs, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure efficient and effective exploration activities.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a team of geologists, geophysicists, geochemists, and field personnel. Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure successful exploration efforts.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate exploration findings and progress to senior management, investors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders. Present a compelling case for the economic viability of potential mining projects.
• Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all exploration activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, including environmental impact assessments, permitting, and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Exploration Technology: Stay informed about the latest advancements in exploration technology and tools. Assess the potential application of new technologies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of exploration efforts.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage exploration budgets, closely monitoring expenditures and ensuring cost control to maximize the return on investment.
• Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports of exploration activities, including geological data, assay results, and exploration costs. Prepare and submit reports for regulatory and internal purposes.
• Mineral Rights and Land Acquisition: Manage the acquisition and maintenance of mineral rights, leases, and land access agreements required for exploration activities.
• Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and mineral commodity prices to inform exploration strategies and assess the economic viability of potential mining projects.
• Innovation: Encourage and support the development of innovative exploration techniques and methodologies to improve the success rate of exploration projects,
• Long-Term Vision: Develop a long-term vision for the organization’s mineral exploration efforts, considering evolving industry- trendsand opportunities for resource development.
Required Experience:
• Candidates with master’s degree, a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in development programming or policy; social innovation; partnership building: engagement (public and private sector) and/or resource mobilization
• Candidates with bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in development programming or policy; social innovation; partnership building: engagement (public and private sector) and/or resource mobilization
• Professional experience in development programming or policy and social innovation:
• Demonstrated capacity in horizon scanning;
• Demonstrated capacity in data analysis and visualization.
• Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish and English.
Required Education:
• Master’s degree in Social sciences. Data science. Statistics. Physics. Computer Science. Business Intelligence, or related field

• Bachelor’s degree in Social sciences. Data science. Statistics. Physics, Computer Science. Business Intelligence, or related field and minimum of 4 years of professional experience in development programming or policy, social innovation; partnership building; engagement (public and private sector) and/or resource mobilization
