National Sponsorship Coordinator
SOS Children’s Villages Namibia seeks to employ the services of a National Sponsorship Coordinator to be responsible for ensuring that sponsors both local and foreign are given the correct information on children being supported for the future for the sustainability operations of the organization.
PRIORITY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keeps track of all local and international sponsors and donors.
Complies with the activity plans provided by the sponsors/donors, in consultations with manage-ment. - Supports and pursues all research undertaken by donors and organisations willing to aid SOS Children’s Villages Namibia
- Ensures timely and appropriate follow-up of all proposals sent by sponsors, donors and well-wishers.
- Submits quarterly and annual reports to the identified donors on the development of the beneficiaries (children and young people).
- Undertakes timely visitations to the programme lacations to update all children and young people’s data base.
- Ensures proper recording and accountability of all sponsorships and donations.
- Promptly prepares and submits annual letters to all sponsors, by providing updates on the well-being of the beneficiaries (children and young people).
- Maintains regular contact with sponsors/donors, keeping them abreast on the children and young people’s annual planned activities.
- Submits updated reports to management on the new sponsorship related developments.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies / Communications
- Background in photography and video editing software
- Experience with children and young people
- 3 years’ experience in sponsorships, donor relations, fund development and communication
- Experience working with clients from different cultural backgrounds.
- A code B driver’s license will be an added advantage
- Possesses high competencies (communication, team work, excellent interpersonal skills).
