BRAND MARKETING SPECIALIST
PATERSON GRADE D2
Reporting to the Head: Marketing and Corporate Communications, the Brand Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating and implementing of the brand strategy of the Bank, managing and coordinating all aspects of the corporate identity, initiating and managing brand research and evaluation, driving the internal brand education programme, and supporting the Investment, SME Finance and Business Strategy teams to generate leads.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Review, coordinate and implement the Brand Marketing Strategy for the Bank.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the corporate identity, including driving the brand education programme and managing and coordinating the Bank’s website and social media presence.
- Develop Corporate Marketing campaign plans for internal and external audiences, coordinate the campaign development process and execute the campaigns and monitor and evaluate the campaigns.
- Collaborate with relevant business units on product and service development, translating the technical aspects of products/services into marketing terms suitable to the target group, developing the support mechanisms for marketing, building the DBN brand around the products and services, and assessing impact and taking remedial action steps to address any deficiencies on the making front in the area.
- Develop various marketing and promotional materials that support the various drives and campaigns and reflect the values of the DBN consistently.
- Develop and maintain brand health measurements in order to monitor the brand.
- Manage website, social media and other communication avenues, enable content management, perceptual risk management and sales/lead generation.
- Perform periodic audits of all media utilized by and relevant to the Bank, reporting on advertisement cost efficiency and exploring ways to optimize media advertising presence.
- Develop budgets for the business unit, monitor and control spending and maintain compliance with internal procurement procedures.
- Provide input into the Board Reports, Executive Management Reports and Departmental Reports
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree with related subjects in Marketing (NQF level 7, from an NQA recognized tertiary institution).
- A minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in corporate communications and brand marketing.
- A PRISA or media qualification will be a distinct advantage.
- Computer skills: MS Office for development of corporate identity, InDesign, Photoshop.
- Knowledge of website architecture, HTML, Joomla content manager, and Acymail, etc.
- Thorough understanding of marketing elements, including traditional and digital marketing and market research methods.
- Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills with an attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness partnered with a creative/analytical mind.
- Strong customer orientation and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to contribute to teamwork.
