DESCRIPTION
is seeking qualified applicants for the position Senior Clinical Advisor in the Advancing Community-based Epidemic Control in
Namibia (ACEC) project.
Project ACEC is implemented through the Total Control of the Epidemic (TCE) program which works nationally to deliver
community-level HIV and TB testing, treatment, and treatment retention activities. The TCE program implements activities in
close cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Social Services at the national, regional, health district, and facility levels.
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive compensation package consisting of 1-year contract which is renewable
subject to the availability of funds, medical aid, pension fund contributions, and a 13th cheque.
SENIOR CLINICAL ADVISOR (RE-ADVERTISED)
Purpose of the position: The Senior Clinical Advisor will provide leadership and technical expertise with emphasis on delivering
project results and impact. The successful candidate will also serve as a subject matter expert liaising with Ministry of Health and
Social Services stakeholders at all implementation levels, and will support the technical capacitation of project staff. The
successful candidate should be flexible, versatile, and resilient enough to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
Duty Station: Windhoek with significant travel time nationally
Requirements:
− A medical doctor with a master’s degree in public health
− At least 5 years’ experience in public health programming either directly with or in support of the Namibian Ministry of
Health and Social Services
− Desired experience providing HIV and TB clinical services including implementation of service delivery models at the facility
and community level
− Familiarity with PEPFAR Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting requirements and the ability to analyze, interpret, and present
data
− Program management experience with a demonstrated track record of success
− Supervisory skills with the ability to lead, mentor, evaluate, develop, and capacitate staff
− Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time
− Driver’s license
− Namibian Citizen or Permanent Resident
− Registration with Health Professions Council of Namibia
