Job description
Reviewing and analysing commercial contracts to interpret, summarise legal content and suggest amendments to mitigate risks
Drafting of contracts (i.e., Service Level Agreements for various logistics and marine services, Non-disclosure Agreements, Lease Agreements, Template agreements etc.) addendums and renewals
Management of contracts system – i.e., ensuring that all contracts are timeously reviewed and signed, renewed and rate increases implemented when due, and archiving of expired contracts
Review of all current contracts and compilation of summary for operations indicating all requirements for discussion and sharing pertinent information with operational divisions
Assist operations by reviewing and completing tender documents and obtaining relevant supporting documents
Review and completion of supplier and client credit applications terms and conditions and due diligence questionnaires
Develop, implement, and maintain standardised procurement processes and policies
Drafting of legal correspondence i.e., letters of demand; acknowledgments of debt etc.

Pre – litigation debt collection
Liaising with attorneys re debt collection and other litigation matters
Design, Implement and manage the customer onboarding and compliance process.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
LLB or equivalent degree
Preferably 3-5 years of work experience relevant to this role, preferably in a commercial legal roll. Logistics and maritime law experience and understanding will be an advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Proven experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
English Proficiency
Namibian citizen
Code 8 driver’s license
