Purpose of the Position:
Manage the internal and external corporate communications.
Key Performance Areas:
Manage the Integrated Marketing and Communications Plan.
Manage the internal and external communications programme and services.
Manage the media and major stakeholder relationships and image.
Manage official statements, communications, and media releases.
Oversee the communications unit.
Prepare speeches and other official documentation.
Manage promotions and represent the Fund at public forums.
Manage the PR communications information, records, and reports.
Advise the internal and external stakeholders on efficient and effective communication strategies.
Responsible for the budget of the division along with team members.
Job-related qualifications and experience:
• Degree in Communications from a recognized institution (NQF level 8).
• Eight years (8) years experience in corporate communications, of
which three (3) years should be on a supervisory level.
• Registered member of PRISA or any other relevant professional body
The incumbent must have the following knowledge, skills, and Attributes:
Knowledge and Understanding:
Communication theory, stakeholder management model, pension fund knowledge, corporate communications design program, communications methods and techniques, cultural differences in Namibia, business network, management and utilization of media, social responsibility, organizational selling, project management and strategic management
Skills:
Relationship building, process management, conflict resolution, exceptional communications, interpersonal, negotiation, excellent command of written and verbal English, planning, presentation, listening, conceptual ability, logical reasoning, decision making, advising, networking, ability to provide feedback and ability to anticipate problems and public speaking.
Personal Attributes:
Integrity, reliability, professionalism, approachable, flexible, high-stress tolerance, a people-oriented, independent thinker, ability to enthuse others, accessible, discretionary, mature, team worker and disciplined.
