PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The workshop supervisor is responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the mechanical workshop. The manager is responsible for budgets for the purchase of materials, fixings and fastenings and machine tools to ensure the smooth progression of projects through the workshop. The duties of the mechanic include all standard mechanical duties. Make sure that all repairs are completed in a timely manner. Inspecting work to make sure standards have been met, ordering mechanical parts, using diagnostic equipment, providing support and advice with repairs, conducting road tests, and maintaining repair equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Applicant MUST have 6 years experience on Workshop Experience
The applicant must have a red seal in diesel mechanic
Basic Welding knowledge
Basic Fitting and Turning knowledge
Basic auto electrician knowledge will be a definite advantage
Applicant must have more than 10 years of experience as a diesel mechanic
Applicant must be able to speak, read and write Afrikaans and English; German will be an advantage
Applicant must have a valid code CE extra heavy license
Applicant must be willing to relocate to Walvis Bay (if based elsewhere)
Supervisory experience good leadership, motivation and team building skills
