Key Responsibilities:
· Design of project methodologies;
· Developing bids for new environmental projects;
· Project management;
· Environment economics related research tasks;
· Development of Excel-based environmental economics models;
· Presenting information to relevant clients through report writing and workshops;
· Client liaison.

Principal Consultant.
Person specification:
We are seeking a highly motivated and high calibre candidate to fulfil the roles. Candidates
should reflect our values and commitment to quality and are expected to be self-disciplined,
well organised and to be able to present themselves in a professional manner. The
candidate will be expected to develop project management and client liaison skills. A
personal interest in, and commitment to, environmental and sustainability issues is
expected.
Essential:
· A Master’s degree or higher in Environmental Economics or a closely related
field;
· Experience applying economics to matters of environmental policy research and
analysis either in consultancy, another form of business, academia, or the public
sector;
· Experience in collecting, managing, analysing and presenting qualitative and
quantitative data related to environmental economics;
· Experience undertaking cost benefit analysis, including application of methods
for valuing environmental externalities;
· Knowledge of environmental impact assessment, including both market and nonmarket costs and benefits;
· Experience of presenting to clients;
· A willingness to work flexibly across different areas;
· An ability to think creatively, and to advance innovative ideas;
· Excellent drafting skills;
· Strong IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office suite;
· Ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
Desirable:
· Experience working on and managing European Union projects;
· Experience of developing new business;
· Knowledge of EU institutions and policies;
· Proficiency in other European languages;
· A relevant professional industry qualification or membership;
· Experience in similar role.
