Description
IntraHealth International is now seeking a Program Operations Manager to join our headquarters team.
In this role, the Program Operations Manager (PM) supports the Director, Program Operations in the Center for Program Delivery in monitoring overall portfolio health and ensuring program management standards are applied across all programs. They also support the advancement and improvement of organizational systems and processes required to deliver program excellence and growth. The PM also liaises with other HQ departments to problem-solve solutions that aid project implementation.
This position can be located at our Chapel Hill, NC office or remotely within the United States.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supports project teams and center directors by recommending and executing operational processes and procedures to improve management of projects and budgets
- Develops and/or modifies any existing tools to facilitate the consolidation and reporting of key financial data
- Supports the application of our Standards of Program Excellence across projects and programs, develops and maintains key resource documents, and captures and shares lessons learned across the organization
- Supports team members in reviewing and analyzing project risks and helps develop risk management plans in coordination with project teams and IntraHealth’s support functions departments
- Coordinates center recruiting process in collaboration with HR and leads the development of key onboarding materials
- Provides support to and conducts the review of activity budgets and management narrative sections for proposals, to ensure financial and operational feasibility
Minimum qualifications include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in public health, international health, or related fields is required with a minimum of 4 years of relevant project/program and/or financial management experience; A Master’s degree in public health, international health, or related fields is preferred
- Working knowledge of finance, administration, and management, developing and tracking budgets, logistics, and operations
- Experience with USAID- or CDC-funded projects required and experience with non-USG and private foundation-funded projects preferred
- Working knowledge of international health program areas (e.g., MNCH/FP, HIV, HRH, integrated health)
- Fluency in a foreign language, especially French and/or Spanish is desirable
- Overseas field experience in low to middle income countries preferred
- Position may involve both local and international travel of up to 25%
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
