1 x Post : Windhoek
Salary Scale : N$328,139 – N$392,158
Housing Allowance : N$13,080 per annum
Transport Allowance : N$7,680 per annum
Fixed Overtime : N$75,572 per annum
Minimum requirements: Registration as a pharmacist with the Health Professional Council of
Namibia or authorisation to practice as a Pharmacist in Namibia plus three (3) years’
appropriate experience after completion of internship as a registered Pharmacist.
Additional requirement: Preference will be given to candidates with Post graduate degree in
clinical pharmacy or related field, training and experience in maintaining an appropriate
Essential Medicines (EM) and Clinical Supplies (CS) Lists, revision of Treatment Guidelines,
planning and managing medicines and related supplies supply and inventory management.

Job Description
A.
To maintain an appropriate Essential Medicines (EM) and Clinical Supplies (CS) Lists
and revision of Treatment Guidelines as well as planning and managing medicines
and related supplies supply and inventory management.
B. In particular s/he is responsible for the following areas in co-operation with other relevant
divisions, directorates and ministries:
Review and update comprehensive Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs), Essential
Medicines and Clinical Supplies Lists.
Participate in the development and review of other treatment guidelines
Provide technical assistance to Therapeutic Committees in conjunction with
subdivision pharmaceutical policy and standards development
Serve as focal point for AMR in Ministry of health and collaborate effectively with
laboratory services and other stakeholders to monitor and contain antimicrobial
resistance (AMR).
Promote collaboration and ensure sound communication with Central Medical Stores
and other relevant key stakeholders and partners in pharmaceutical supply and
management.
Track all health commodities by maintaining a Logistics management information
system (LMIS).
Co-ordinate and conduct trainings on Pharmaceuticals Management
