Catering / Hotel Manager – Offshore/Vessel Based
Skill and Requirements for the position
· STCW Qualification Standards of Training
· Certification & Watchkeeping for Seafarers
· Firefighting training
· Pre-sea Survival Training
· First aid Training at Sea
· Helicopter Underwater Training (H.U.E.T)
· Crowd Management
· Designated Security Duties
· SAMSA Medical Certificate
· Valid Passport
· Police Clearance
· Yellow Fever Vaccination
· Rotation 8 weeks on & 4 weeks off
Job Purpose
· Responsible for planning, administering & supervising the catering operations and housekeeping services of the vessel accommodation
· Lead the teams of chefs and catering operations on the vessel
· Responsible for monitoring the quality of the food, service delivery and for making sure that the staff perform well to achieve high standards of hygiene and crew satisfaction
Area of Responsibility
· Vessel accommodation, Galley, Mess, Tea Rooms, Laundry, Gym, Dry stores freezers
Main duties & responsibilities
· Planning menus in consultation with chefs
· Ordering of supplies and provisions
· Training, supervising and motivating staff
· Organizing staff shift rosters
· Ensuring that Health and safety regulations are strictly observed, recorded and archived
· Keeping to budget and maintaining financial and administrative records
