Namib Poultry (Pty) Ltd is a fully integrated broiler production operation established in 2012 and situated 30 km north of Windhoek on the A1 Highway on the farm Klein Okapuka.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Coach / Mentor / Train the designated Poultry Meat Examiner’s and / or Quality Monitor’s in the effective day-
to-day meat inspection, product line monitoring and quality control of the various production processes
and activities within the Processing Plant.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily pre-operational Cleaning and Hygiene checks as required.
- Effective Poultry Meat Inspection function at the required Carcass Inspection Points.
- On-line process monitoring and Final Product Inspection to required standards.
- Adherence to Product Specifications.
- Non-Conformance and Corrective Action processes and records.
- Adherence to the Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Quality Management System Policies and Procedures including relevant records and documentation.
- Maintaining housekeeping standards in all areas of responsibility.
- Adherence to Food Safety and Quality Control protocols on the production floor.
- Give efficient training to QA trainee Monitors.
- Conduct verification of scales and thermometers and report any non -conformances.
- Ad hoc tasks as given by superiors.
Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETANCIES
- Grade 12 (NQF 4) passed with minimum requirements.
- PME / PMI certificate in Abattoir Hygiene.
- Recognized Food Safety / HACCP training course completed.
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience as a Poultry Meat Examiner / Inspector in a high-throughput abattoir processing facility.
- Demonstrable ability to coach and train culturally diverse food handler personnel.
- Fully Computer literate
- Proficient in English being bilingual will be advantageous.
- Namibian citizen or eligible for Permanent Residence and / or Work Permit.
- Must be able to work shifts, weekends, overtime and on public holidays.
