Introduction
Primary Purpose of the Position:
•The Claims Officer role in the Operations Department is accountable for administration of claims benefits
•The role is also responsible for evaluating claims
Key Performance Areas:
•Adjudicate claims for MSD (Maternity, Sick, Death) / ECF (Employee Compensation fund) benefits
•Assessment and evaluation of claims
•Analyzing and recommendation of claims and registration
•Processing of claims
•Problem solving related to claims
•Customer care (internal and external)
Requirements
Job Requirements:
•A 3 Year Diploma in Administration/ Accounting and Finance
•3 years practical experience in financial environment and medical aid /pension fund/claims benefit administration
Person Requirements:
•Fluency in both written and spoken English
•Good problem solving and decision making skills.
•Attention to detail
•Team player
•High ethical standards
•Computer Literacy
Preference will be given to qualified persons living with disabilities.
All foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the Namibian Qualifications Authority.
