Purpose of this role: To manage the Floor department effectively with regards to customer satisfaction, the achievement of departmental budgets, control of shrinkage and stock management.
Job specifications/responsibilities will include the following:
• Ensure that correct items are on the shop floor merchandised and priced correctly
• Regularly check the relevant weekly/ monthly reports for sales figures, stock on hand, margins and gross profit.
• Identify how well the department is performing against budget.
• Analyze the reasons for weaker/stronger performance and implement action plans for corrective action or to
increase strong performance
• Ensure 100% in the stock situation on promotional lines and KVI lines
• Ensure that staff members provide customer satisfaction to at customers and adhere to the required standards
• Approach customers who look as if they need assistance.
• Be polite, helpful and courteous at all times
• Ensure that your stock holding is balanced and reflects customer demand.
• Ensure that buyers are given out of stock lists, overstock lists and feedback on the slow-moving or dead stock.
• Check the Aged Stock Analysis to identify aged stock and implement action plans to clear aged stocks.
• Ensure that damaged stock is removed from the floor, recorded and taken to the damages department.
• Ensure that stock is handled carefully to prevent damages
• Ensure that staff take days off as per scheduled arrangements.
• Plan yearly leave roster ensuring that the department will be adequately manned to meet customer and store
needs.
• Schedule and authorize days oft
• Ensure that staff take tea and lunch breaks as per the schedule and return on time.
• Ensure that staff members arrive on time. Take appropriate action on late -comings, as needed.
• Communicate absenteeism to the HR department with relevant documentation (Doctor’s notes, leave forms).
• Ensure that the department is appropriately manned for its needs
• Know understand and adhere to company rules and procedures.
• Report suspicious occurrences or people to management and security.
• Check suspicious items and report any problems to management.
• Ensure that all stock is handled carefully.
• Adhere to all safety regulations with regards to Forklift driving and other store practices
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 120, Equivalent.
• More than 3 years of relevant experience in in-store support, in a similar environment and in a related role.
• Relevant education related to the role.
• Exceptional Communication both written and spoken
• Project management

• Creative approach to work
• Excellent customer service
• Attention to details and work under pressure
