PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment in the processing plant.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Functional General
Millwright duties Effective maintenance and repair of all equipment.
In conjunction with the workshop Foreman plan and co-ordinate the efficient execution of all maintenance tasks.
Reporting to the Workshop Foreman and or to Maintenance Manager on defects on the plant. Fault finding and rectification on all relevant equipment.
Provision of standby service on a rotation basis.
Compilation, acquisition, maintenance and updating of all electronic and electrical documentation.
Organisation and maintenance of hardware and software documentation archives. Definition and updating of maintenance and documentation systems and standards, as well as equipment standards.
Assist in the equipment installation and commissioning.
Electrical and electronic maintenance of all relevant equipment.
Institute and maintain routine and preventative tasks
Adhere to work instructions.
Ensure accurate and timeous completion of Job Card.
Ensure accurate and timeous completion of Timesheet/Clocking.
Adhere to work instructions and in conjunction with the Plant Bakery Production Manager, do risk analysis.
Ensure repairs are carried out according to specifications / processes. Test equipment before handover to process owners.
Provide feedback on maintenance and breakdowns to Management.
Adhere to safety standards, practices and procedures.
Ensure safe working environment
Adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies as laid down by law and the Company.
Always wear proper and clean PPE as prescribed by the Company.
Work area/workbench must be cleaned when job is completed.
Always wear proper and clean PPE as prescribed by the Company Performing of additional tasks as and when required and performing it to best of ability and according to company standards and procedures.
Supervise assistant as per company procedure and apply “on the Job Training” for the assistant.
Timeously attending to call-outs.
On time reporting/feedback on call-out if any occurred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• S3/T4 (NTD – National Technical Diploma) OR
• Recognized equivalent tertiary qualification in the field of electronic / electrical or instrumentation engineering
OTHER
• 5 Years relevant experience
• Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems is a pre-requisite
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Email, Word, Excel)
• Be willing to work overtime, on public holidays, Sundays as well as on external sites when required
• Be on standby and call-out on a rotational basis
• Proficient in English
• Valid Driver’s license
• Namibian Citizenship
