Key Responsibilities

Establish and implement, including procedures, controls, training, emergency preparedness and compliance requirements of reagents and chemicals.
Coordinate plant housekeeping, signage, waste management and PPE systems.
Conduct routine safety inspections and audits and enforce compliance with SOPs and Permit-to-Work requirements.
Coordinate ancillary crews, shutdowns, start-ups and operational support activities.
Oversee plant mobile equipment utilisation, competency and maintenance compliance.

Requirements

Grade 12
Bachelors degree in Metallurgy or Process Engineering
5-8 years relevant experience in a similar role
A valid driver’s license
Strong supervision, coordination and problem-solving skills
Sound understanding of reagent handling and process plant utilities
