Key Responsibilities
- To implement and enforce the building activities and other related construction works in the area of council’s jurisdiction.
- To ensure adherence to council building specifications and town planning regulations.
- To monitor all building plans submitted to and check if the detailed plans submitted comply with the applicable regulations and guidelines.
- To undertake internal inspection for the compliance of the Standard Building Regulations.
Requirements
- Trade Diploma in Building Technology or Draughtsmen and Building Construction or National Diploma in Civil Engineering
- 3 years appropriate working experience in building evaluation and building control of which one (1) year should have been at the supervisory level
- Diploma in License Code C1 and C4 or an edited advantage
- Have strong reasoning ability, attention to detail but not detail bound, interpersonal skills, planning and organizing skills, ability to work independently, communication skills, computer literacy and Customer Service
