BIOLOGY & PHYSICS TEACHER – Rosewood Academy

You need a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Physics, or a related science field, plus a recognized teaching qualification such as a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or a teaching certificate issued by the Ministry of Education. A strong academic record and a commitment to continuous professional development are also highly valued.

Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans aligned with the Namibian curriculum, delivering engaging classroom instruction, supervising laboratory experiments, and assessing student progress through tests and projects. Teachers also participate in staff meetings, collaborate on interdisciplinary units, and maintain accurate attendance and grading records.

Namibian schools emphasize punctuality, respect for hierarchy, and a collaborative spirit, with teachers expected to foster a supportive learning environment. Community engagement, such as outreach or parent‑teacher meetings, is common, and teachers often volunteer for extracurricular activities.
