The Roads Authority of Namibia (RA) is the national agency responsible for the construction, maintenance and management of the country’s road network. Headquartered in Windhoek, it works closely with the Ministry of Works and Transport to ensure roads across Namibia—from the coastal town of Walvis Bay to the northern frontier at Ondangwa—meet safety and quality standards. The RA manages a portfolio of highways, regional roads and feeder routes, undertaking projects such as resurfacing, bridge rehabilitation and the installation of safety signage. It also runs road safety campaigns and collaborates with local municipalities to improve traffic management and reduce accidents.
