The National Standards Institute (NSI) operates from Windhoek as Namibia’s national standards body, established to promote standardisation and quality across the country’s economy. It develops and maintains national standards, provides testing, inspection and certification services, and supports metrology activities that help Namibian products meet both domestic and international requirements. The institute works with government, industry and consumers to strengthen product quality, facilitate trade and protect public health and safety. Through its work, the NSI plays a central role in supporting Namibia’s competitiveness in regional and global markets.
