Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate stock replenishment for multiple branches
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate for best pricing and delivery
- Monitor stock levels, slow-moving items, and ensure availability of core products
- Follow up on overdue/outstanding Purchase Orders.
- Arrange transport for respective branches stock orders.
- Perform sales and merchandising when required
Requirements
- Must have completed Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks.
- 3 years’ experience in procurement or buying in the building and construction retail industry
- Strong knowledge of product and supplier networks, Kerridge system, and stock planning
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- An assertive person with excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Self-starter with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective planning and organizing skills.
- Someone that can work under pressure and that is a strong team player.
