PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To monitor, maintain, improve and implement, when necessary, the quality management systems at the Namib Mills sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management Systems at the Namibia Production sites.
- Assist in the implementation of any future Quality Management Systems at new Namib Mills Production sites
- Travel to other Namib Mills Production sites within Namibia assist with the monitoring and maintenance of the Quality Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance to company policies, procedures and legislations.
- Ensure the compliance with statutory requirements.
- Monitoring the control of the good quality systems and housekeeping standards.
- Perform internal audits on quality management systems at Namib mills Namibia Production and international sites.
- Perform supplier audits for Namib Mills Namibia and International Quality Management Systems.
- Assist in the preparation and arrangements for external audits at existing & new Namibia production sites.
- Perform scheduled Namib mills Quality Management Systems inspections.
- Assist in the corrective action of Customer Complaints /CPA’s on the Incident Management System.
- Timeous reporting of Non-Conformances to the QA Department and assist with Corrective Actions where required.
- Participate in the Food Defense and Security Program
- Participate in the Food Safety Culture Program
- Assist and participate in the Traceability Incidents and Annual Mock Recall
- Manage and control data and documents.
- Perform Food Safety and Quality System annual training programs.
- Stand in for the QA department’s duties in the absence of QA employees.
- Assist SHEQ Manager with QA departmental tasks where necessary.
- Carry out ad hoc tasks as given by the Compliance Manager and SHEQ Manager.
Requirements
- Food Science Degree (NQF7) OR Diploma in Food Technology (BTech) (NQF6)
- 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
- Strong numerical skills, computer literacy with working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Working knowledge of drawing software.
- Valid Namibian driver’s license.
- Proficient in English.
- Namibian citizen.
