Key Responsibilities
- Deliver theoretical and practical training in Horticulture and Crop Production programmes.
- Prepare lesson plans, training schedules, learning materials, and practical demonstrations.
Requirements
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Crop Production, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Vocational Trainer Certificate or a Teaching Qualification will be an added advantage.
- Registration as an Assessor and Moderator with the Namibia Training Authority (NTA) or TVET Trainer qualification will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ relevant industry and/or teaching experience.
- Sound knowledge of crop production, horticulture, irrigation, soil science, plant nutrition, pest and disease management, and sustainable farming practices.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong practical agricultural and horticultural skills.
- Good planning, organisational, and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to mentor and motivate trainees.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality training.
