Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and issue materials, tools, equipment and consumables.
- Ensure all received stock is accurately checked, recorded and stored correctly.
- Maintain effective inventory control and warehouse records.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or replenishment requirements.
- Ensure materials and equipment are stored safely and securely.
- Capture and maintain inventory information on the warehouse management system.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
- Comply with all safety, health, environmental and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Grade 10 / 12 certificate with 20 points or above
- Certificate or Diploma in Purchasing Management will be an added advantage
- Valid Code B Driver’s Licence or higher
- Valid Forklift Licence will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years’ warehouse experience
- Proven experience as a Storeman
- Experience in a mining or industrial environment will be advantageous
- Knowledge of warehouse inventory control systems
- Good record-keeping and stock control skills
- Basic computer literacy and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong organisational and communication abilities
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
- Commitment to safety and housekeeping standards
