Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the PRISMA CMMS implementation project across the Africa region.
- Develop and maintain the overall project plan, including milestones, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate the project team, including internal stakeholders, the Sista Plant system representative, and support personnel from the Argentina operations.
- Ensure accurate system configuration aligned with operational maintenance processes, asset structures, and work order management requirements.
- Oversee the development and standardisation of maintenance master data including asset registers, equipment hierarchies, maintenance plans, and task lists.
- Facilitate integration of PRISMA with existing operational processes, maintenance planning workflows, and reporting requirements.
- Lead change management and user adoption activities, including communication, training programmes, and operational support during rollout phases.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks and issues, and report regularly to the Technical Director and relevant governance structures.
- Ensure that lessons learned from the Argentina implementation are incorporated into the Africa rollout strategy.
- Coordinate system testing, pilot implementations, and staged deployment across operational sites.
- Ensure that documentation, system procedures, and user guidelines are established and maintained.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance management, technical operations, or engineering environments
- Certificated competence in CMMS application (such as SAP) would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in system implementation projects or operational improvement initiatives
- Experience in maintenance planning, work order management, and scheduling processes
- Exposure to CMMS / EAM systems (e.g. SAP PM, Maximo or similar)
- Experience in industrial, marine, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environments will be advantageous
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling, and work order management
- Knowledge of CMMS / Enterprise Asset Management systems and their application
- Solid project management skills (planning, risk management, milestone tracking)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to drive change management and user adoption
