REGISTERED NURSE – ICU X3 – Ondangwa Private Hospital 4 views

Key Responsibilities

• Providing specialised nursing care, continuous patient monitoring and clinical support to critically ill patients within the ICU environment.
• Managing ventilated and high-dependency patients while ensuring accurate administration of medication, oxygen therapy and critical care procedures.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, nursing documentation, billing-related entries and ICU reporting requirements.
• Promoting infection prevention, patient safety and compliance with hospital policies, ICU protocols and clinical standards.
• Coordinating effectively with doctors, specialists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care and continuity of treatment.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing and registration with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Advanced Course in Critical Intensive Care and/or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Minimum three (3) years’ nursing experience within a clinical environment, preferably within Adult ICU or Neonatal ICU.
• Sound knowledge of critical care procedures, infection prevention practices, ICU protocols and patient monitoring systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
