Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Annual Plans for the Division and produce monthly management reports.
- Compile financial statements for the Regional Council and supervise subordinates.
- Oversee salary administration, creditors, and verify salary payments for all officials.
- Ensure adherence to Treasury, Budgetary, and Tender Board Regulations.
- Manage third-party payments, pension funds, VAT returns, and reconciliations.
- Implement internal financial control systems and report wasteful expenditure.
- Conduct financial inspections at settlement and constituency sub-receivers.
- Carry out other official duties as assigned.
Requirements
- An appropriate Diploma majoring in Accounting on NQF L6
- Six (6) years appropriate experience in Financial Management
- Candidate must be on the level of Senior Accountant Grade 7.
- Preference given to candidates with a Bachelor’s in Accountancy, Financial Management, or Accounting and Auditing on NQF Level 7.
- Must be conversant with the Sage VIP Premier Payroll and Pastel System.
- Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) will be an added advantage.
- Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Attached Certificates required as proof.
Salary
Salary Scale: N$ 372, 627 – N$ 445, 325 per annum
Housing Allowance: N$ 17, 424 per annum
Transport Allowance: N$ 10, 512 per annum
