The Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB) is Namibia’s statutory body responsible for regulating the accounting and auditing profession within the country. Established by an Act of Parliament, its primary mandate involves overseeing the professional conduct, training, and ethical standards of registered accountants and auditors across Namibia. The Board ensures practitioners adhere to international best practices, including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA). PAAB also plays a crucial role in registering qualified professionals and conducting practice inspections to maintain public confidence. Through its rigorous oversight, the Board is vital in upholding the integrity and quality of financial reporting throughout Namibia’s economy.
