Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections in accordance with established standards.
- Ensure that the appropriate tools are accessible and utilised for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Verify that auto electrical equipment and installations adhere to the necessary design, installation, and maintenance standards.
- Respond to breakdowns in the field as needed.
- Offer recommendations to the Supervisor regarding potential optimisations for machinery performance.
- Maintain the work area in compliance with proper housekeeping and environmental practices.
- Complete a thorough handover with the incoming shift.
- Identify and communicate any potential hazards and risks.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with a total of 24 points across 6 subjects
- Trade certificate in N3
- Valid code BE driver’s license
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience in auto electrical work on heavy earth-moving equipment and light vehicles
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Planning and organisational skills
- Adherence to company safety standards
