Key Responsibilities

• Uphold safety as a core value by providing effective SHE leadership within the organisation.
• Maintain an expert understanding of specific safety requirements set by clients, governmental bodies, and internal policies and procedures.
• Collect and analyse statistics, preparing and distributing reports on trends, and generating action plans for company-wide implementation.
• Keep records and develop reports on new or ongoing programs, assessing their effectiveness.
• Coordinate resources using the PDCA SHE management approach, prioritising continuous improvement and the efficient application of SHEQ systems.
• Offer feedback to site leadership regarding relevant investigations, actions, and compliance issues.
• Ensure alignment and provide feedback to the head office concerning site and company-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• A degree in Health, Safety Management, or Environmental Science.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in the HSE field, including a minimum of three (3) years in a relatively senior position.
• Relevant experience in Mining Engineering or Engineering, with substantial exposure to safety management.
