Reporting to the Assistant Product Support Manager for Power & Energy, the successful incumbent will be responsible for driving new equipment sales (diesel, gas and hybrid power solutions) as well as growing the power rental revenue. The successful incumbent will work with considerable independence, following the guidelines and goals identified to manage the Prime Sales and Rental business in Namibia.

Key Responsibilities
- Driving new equipment sales (diesel, gas and hybrid power solutions)
- Growing power rental revenue through structured pipeline management
- Understanding and providing Customers with quotations and the value of the full range of the Power Generation Offerings and how they are intended to meet business and Customer needs
- Responsible for Power Generation and Rental Customer Value Agreements (CVA) with Customers, offering solutions ranging from parts agreements to maintenance and repair agreements
- Required to visit Customers face-to-face, understanding their needs, providing solutions and developing relationships with Mining companies, Construction and EPC contractors, Oil & Gas and Marine operators, Engineering companies, Utilities, Municipalities and Parastatals, Data Centres, Telecoms and critical infrastructure Customers
- Working closely with Technical, Service and Rental Teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Achieving performance objectives and metrics
- Updating Customer information on sales Logix e.g., quotes, contact information, etc.
- Creating purchase requisitions for Prime Sales on NAXT, arranging the ordering, logistics and delivery
- Keeping detailed filing on all power generation deals, including quote, order, checklists, warranty documents, etc.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Generation, Energy Engineering, or B Tech Sales
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales or business development environment within Power Generation and Rental
- Experience to develop and manage a structured sales pipeline, close high-value capital equipment and rental contracts and to negotiate commercial terms and long-term rental agreements
- Strong understanding of lifecycle value; sales, service, parts and support
- Sound technical understanding of Generator sizing and load requirements, Power distribution, synchronization and switchgear concepts, Rental fleet deployment and logistics
- Sound technical knowledge of Caterpillar Power Generation applications
- Strong knowledge of the Namibian industrial and power generation market
- Good knowledge of MS Office Applications and experience of Sales Force, SAP & NAXT systems
- Code of Conduct not older than 12 months
- Valid Code B/ BE driver’s license – manual transmission
