Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Ensure optimal availability and reliability of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Compile and manage annual maintenance budgets and capital requirements.
- Control expenditure on spares, tools, equipment, and contracted services.
- Lead and manage internal teams and provide oversight of contractor and consultant engineering personnel.
- Manage the full lifecycle of company assets, including acquisition, maintenance, and replacement.
- Maintain strong relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Fifteen (15+) years’ experience in HME mining maintenance, with at least ten (10) years in a management capacity.
- Expertise in CAT earthmoving equipment, preventative maintenance optimisation, and CMMS software (e.g. PRONTO-Xi).
- Strong commitment to safety and the ability to lead in remote, challenging environments.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Preference will be given to suitably qualified Namibian citizens.
