Job Title: 1 X AUTO ELECTRICIAN/AIRCON TECHNICIAN (Karibib Based)
Core Objective: Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and HVAC systems on mining equipment, support vehicles, and drilling rigs to ensure maximum uptime and operator comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced fault finding on 12V / 24V electrical systems
- Experience with wiring harnesses, relays, alternators, starters, and sensors
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of CANBUS systems and electronic control modules (ECMs)
- Installation, servicing, and repair of automotive and heavy equipment HVAC systems
- Refrigerant handling, leak detection, and system recharging
- Compressor, condenser, evaporator, and climate control diagnostics
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Trade Test Certificate as Auto Electrician
- Certification or proven experience in Automotive Air Conditioning systems
- Minimum 4-7 years experience in mining, construction, or heavy equipment environment
- Valid driver’s license
