Key Responsibilities

• Manage drilling operations, production targets, and crew performance on site.
• Team leadership and shift management
• Production planning and reporting
• Conflict resolution and workforce discipline

Requirements

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
• Minimum 5-10 years drilling experience (open-pit mining)
• At least 3 years in a supervisory / foreman role
• Proven experience with blast hole drilling (preferably Epiroc rigs)
• Strong understanding of drilling patterns, penetration rates, and ground conditions
• Ability to interpret drill plans and geological layouts
• Knowledge of rig utilization, downtime tracking, and production KPIs
• Blasting certificate
• Valid driver’s license – Code B
