Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Contractor’s on-site representative and manage daily construction activities.
- Ensure all works are executed in compliance with project specifications, legislation, ESMP, NSMPs, and Employer requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate site teams, including foremen and subcontractors.
- Support the Environmental Control Officer (ECO) and promote a culture of environmental and safety compliance.
- Provide necessary resources to ensure effective execution of duties by site teams.
- Assist in resolving recurring operational issues and managing workforce challenges.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and site performance.
- Ensure proper administration and reporting of site activities in line with contract requirements.
Requirements
- Registered Professional Engineer or eligible for registration with a recognized institution.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Master’s Degree (advantageous).
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience on similar civil construction projects.
- Experience working on FIDIC-based contracts (minimum 2 projects).
- At least 5 years’ working experience in Sub-Saharan Africa (preferably Namibia).
- Strong leadership and site management skills.
- Good understanding of environmental and safety compliance standards.
- Fluency in written and spoken English (mandatory).
