CYMOT (Pty) Ltd is seeking to appoint a Buyer – Automotive. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing quality automotive products, managing supplier relationships and ensuring the timely availability of stock to meet business needs. You will play a key role in maintaining product accuracy on SAGE X3, negotiating with suppliers and supporting operational excellence across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute stock replenishment order cycles to ensure optimal product availability.
- Source and evaluate suppliers and automotive products in line with quality and regulatory standards.
- Manage stock-outs, backorders and assist with special orders.
- Maintain supplier relationships and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
- Assist with maintaining the product master on SAGE X3, including price updates and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support business objectives and resolve procurement issues.
- Continuously enhance product and technical knowledge.
Requirements
- Relevant Diploma in Procurement Management / Supply Chain Management or related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in procurement /sourcing and/or purchasing – preferably in automotive parts/accessories.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive aftermarket parts (mechanical/electrical/electronic).
- Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and inventory needs.
- Experience in supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Proficient in Sage X3 and Just Enough.
- Expert in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work accurately, independently and under pressure.
- Impeccable honesty and trustworthiness.
- Highest degree of reliability.
- Must be a self-motivated individual and demonstrate initiative.
