Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission solar PV systems
• Perform electrical wiring, testing, and system commissioning
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and system faults
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Install inverters, batteries, distribution boards, and monitoring systems
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations
• Conduct maintenance and service work on existing installations
• Assist with system upgrades and expansions
• Complete site documentation and reporting
• Support project teams and supervise installation assistants where required
• Travel to project sites across Namibia as needed

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with at least a National Trade Certificate OR Electrical General Level 3 (with relevant experience)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret complex electrical schematics
• Proven experience with solar PV installations
• Valid driver’s license (essential)
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Proficient in MS Office
• Basic network troubleshooting skills, including communication issues and IP address configuration
