Densys Renewable Energy is looking for a qualified PV Solar Installer to join our team in Windhoek. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining photovoltaic (PV) systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Travel to project sites across Namibia will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission solar PV systems
- Perform electrical wiring, testing, and system commissioning
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and system faults
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Install inverters, batteries, distribution boards, and monitoring systems
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations
- Conduct maintenance and service work on existing installations
- Assist with system upgrades and expansions
- Complete site documentation and reporting
- Support project teams and supervise installation assistants where required
- Travel to project sites across Namibia as needed
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with at least a National Trade Certificate OR Electrical General Level 3 (with relevant experience)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret complex electrical schematics
- Proven experience with solar PV installations
- Valid driver’s license (essential)
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Proficient in MS Office
- Basic network troubleshooting skills, including communication issues and IP address configuration
