Prosperity Lifecare Insurance (Prosperity Life) is seeking to appoint a FIA COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT (Windhoek-based). The successful incumbent will report to the AML Compliance Officer. The FIA Compliance Assistant will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with FIA requirements through accurate administration, verification, monitoring, and reporting. The incumbent must be well motivated and positive with strong risk compliance/internal audit, administrative, analytical and communication skills, a self-starter who can work independently and in a group.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily verification of FIA compliance prior to pay run, including review of the PLIL customer payments due report and confirmation to Quality Control.
- Review and assessment of policyholder data for the identification of PIPs and high-risk policyholders.
- Undertake Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on all existing PIP and high-risk policyholders.
- Accurate and timeous data capturing, scanning and uploading of FIA forms.
- Maintenance of complete EDD records for PIPs and high-risk clients, ensuring 100% of documentation is retained in hard copy and is immediately available upon request.
- Proactively engage non-compliant policyholders, PIPs and high-risk clients through monthly emails, SMS notifications and telephonic follow-ups to obtain outstanding FIA documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement by systematically following up and increasing the number of FIA-compliant policyholders.
- Provide assistance to service departments regarding FIA enquiries.
- Compilation and submission of the monthly FIA Compliance Report.
Requirements
- Grade 12 with relevant tertiary qualification in Law or Compliance.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a legal, banking, insurance or compliance-related environment.
- Sound knowledge of FIA requirements.
- Strong administrative and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Well organized and able to work independently.
- Results-oriented with a meticulous approach to work.
- High level of integrity, honesty, accuracy and accountability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
- Valid driver’s license with own transport willingness to travel in- and outside Windhoek when required.
