Key Responsibilities

• Performs risk-based audit plans in line with the approved annual plans, and report to internal audit manager.
• Evaluating systems, processes and controls to ensure adequacy and effectiveness during audit assignments.
• Conducting of investigations and other specific tasks, as and when required;
• Assess the effectiveness of the risk management process and advise management, and the Board accordingly.
• Reports on assignments in line with divisional policies and procedures.
• Attend to daily administrative matters of the office.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of internal control systems, the compliance function and the risk management process.
• Technical expertise in auditing home loans systems, construction business and conveyancing processes.
• Knowledge of IFRS, Institute of Internal Auditors standards, codes of ethics, and NamCode (Namibia Code of Governance).
• Knowledge of relevant Namibian legislations and laws pertaining to home loans financing, construction, etc.
• Knowledge of computerised systems and or software packages (accounting, home loans, human resources, project management etc).
• Self-discipline

• Analytical and administrative skills
• Attentive to details person (through and focused)
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Report writing
• A minimum B Degree in auditing (including forensic, IT, etc) or any B degree in any of the following fields (Finance, Credit risk, Accounting, Risk management, Compliance or related fields).
• A minimum working experience of five (5) years in audit environment (Internal or External).
• Completed articles with auditing firms will be an added advantage.
• Driver’s license (code B) – the driving licence should be a non-automatic driving licence.
• Applicants should be Namibian citizens.
