Key Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly receipts and disbursement report.
• Prepare and monitor the 90-day cash forecast.
• Prepare a monthly and quarterly zero-based account reconciliation.
• Prepare journal entries for all cash movements.
• Review and approve all month end reporting.
• Assist with other projects and analysis as required.
• Produces standard monthly report of Other Depository Corporation for Bank of Namibia.
• Produces any other reports as may be requested by management on an ad-hoc basis.
• Compiles quarterly NSA statistics report.
• Holds custody and does accounting for Head Office petty cash float.
• Prepares accounting entries for petty cash floats or other petty cash floats.
• Reconciles petty cash control account before new cash requests.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Accounting and IFRS.
• Planning and analytical skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Report writing skills.
• Supervisory skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to details
• National Diploma / Degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent.
• Five (5) years’ experience in Computerised Accounting environment.
• Driver’s license (code B)- the driving licence should be a non-automatic driving licence.
• Applicants should be Namibian citizens.
