Job Title:
MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design of the marketing strategy to enhance brand strength and business growth.
- Ensure effective communication of marketing strategies to team members and other stakeholders.
- Prepare annual financial budgets consistent with the guidelines set by finance department.
- Negotiate with suppliers and other partners to source funding for planned marketing activities.
- Plan marketing activities and assess their effectiveness and practice continuous improvement.
- Draft press releases, speeches, newsletters, social media content.
- Develop and implement PR strategies to build and maintain positive company image.
- To manage communication during crisis, negative press or emergencies to protect the company brand.
- Collaborate and build relationships with journalists and media fraternity.
- Identify and implement opportunities for community social responsibility initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Ensure comprehensive internal and stakeholder communications.
- Track media coverage, analyze PR campaign effectiveness and report on results.
- Organize press conference, media events or public appearances.
- Monitor public perception and respond to feedback or online reviews.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of proven experience in a senior marketing and public relations leadership role, ideally in retail.
- Strong understanding of corporate communication, brand building and crisis management.
- Able to develop marketing plans to promote customer loyalty schemes and increase customer base.
- Strong business acumen and able to articulate the role of the marketing function in supporting business growth, competitiveness, brand visibility, and influencing customer loyalty. Practical knowledge/understanding of FMCG business model will be an added advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, marketing and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate PR strategic plans into actionable goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, public relations and media management or related field; master’s degree in marketing/public Relations and communications/Marketing or related.
