Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the dry port, ensuring efficient cargo handling and timely shipments.
• Coordinate with carriers, customs officials, and warehouse staff.
• Ensure company machinery is used strictly for operational purposes.
• Implement and optimize logistics strategies to improve efficiency.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate shipment records.

• Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Ensure timely renewal of all required operational licenses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (NQF Level 7 or above, recognized by the Namibia Qualifications Authority).
• Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in logistics and cargo operations, with emphasis on dry port management.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, transportation, and supply chain processes.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Certificates from foreign universities must be verified by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA).
