JOB TITLE: WAITER / WAITRESS

DEPARTMENT: HOSPITALITY

Role Purpose:
The waiter / waitress is a member of the food and beverage department. The objective of the food and beverage service is to provide quality service to guests, in a professional and friendly manner according to Ongava standards, whilst maximizing sales and profits.

Presentable and perfect hygiene standards
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to have flexibility in terms of working hours and demands, understanding that hospitality is a 24-hour enterprise and that delivering superior service to guests is our priority
Presentable and high level of personal hygiene
Comfortable dealing with guests, of different languages and nationalities
Be outgoing in nature and have a strong character

Requirements

Must have a Grade 12 Certificate.
Minimum 04 years’ experience as a waiter/waitress in a 5* establishment
CIMSO experience beneficial
Admin experience
Barman and Barista experience
Wine and Cocktail knowledge
Excellent spoken and written English, German beneficial
Exceptional customer service with proven track record in similar roles
Understanding of dietaries and different menu styles, Food terminology
