Key Responsibilities
- Do daily verification checks and start-up of the Ice Plant.
- Coordinate quality assurance functions with quality department.
- Monitor and verify Ice Plant functions.
- Provide timely feedback to superiors regarding work related matters.
- Conduct cleaning inspections on a regular basis.
- Assist with audits when required.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks.
- Assist with AD HOC task as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 with pass marks in English, Mathematics and Science subjects PLUS 3 years technical experience, preferably in the fishing industry.
- Able to work under pressure and irregularly/short notice when required.
- HACCP, BRC, IFS & ISO 14001 knowledge and or other Quality systems e.g., ISO 450001 will be an advantage.
- Good communication, self-motivational skills, and self-starter
- Quick thinking and decision making required in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent team working skills.
- Computer Literate
- Knowledge of Electrical and Electronics operations will be a distinct advantage..
